Responsibilities:
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and well-connected Automotive Sales Consultant who can engage with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to drive
component sales specifically for R&D, prototyping, testing, EV development, and validation programs.
The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within OEM engineering and R&D departments and experience promoting high-precision components such as
connectors, cable assemblies, harness interfaces, test adapters, and similar engineering parts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales
• Identify and target R&D, prototype, testing, and validation divisions within major Automotive OEMs (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota, Honda, etc.).
• Promote one of our customers' specialized connector products and technologies to engineering teams and decision-makers.
• Drive new business opportunities and convert them into measurable sales growth.
• Present technical product capabilities and suitability for engineering/development projects.
2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
• Build strong, long-term relationships with OEM engineering managers, R&D program leads, and procurement teams.
• Conduct regular technical and commercial discussions with customer stakeholders.
• Support customers in selecting the right connectors and solutions for prototype vehicles, lab environments, and test benches.
3. Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
• Track upcoming vehicle development programs (ICE, EV, ADAS, autonomous, infotainment, powertrain).
• Identify component needs and propose our customer's product solutions early in the development cycle.
• Provide feedback to Germany headquarters on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing.
4. Sales Operations & Coordination
• Work closely with our customers’ technical and product teams for quote preparation, custom requirements, and order execution.
• Maintain CRM updates, sales pipeline, and monthly reporting.
• Participate in industry events, tech expos, and OEM supplier meets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics preferred.
• 5–15 years of experience in automotive B2B technical sales, preferably selling connectors, wiring harnesses, sensors, electronic components, or testing equipment.
• Strong network and access to OEM R&D, testing, prototype, and validation teams.
• Ability to understand technical documentation, engineering drawings, and connector specifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working with international teams.
Requirements:
Preferred Experience:
• Previous sales experience with brands such as TE Connectivity, Molex, Amphenol, Yazaki, Leoni, Bosch, Vector, dSPACE, or other engineering component manufacturers.
• Experience supporting German or European engineering companies.
• Understanding of EV, battery systems, ADAS, diagnostics, and automotive electronics.
