• Utilize expertise in Solid Works/Solid Works PDM to create innovative designs for trailers, semitrailers, and tippers.

• Collaborate with the project manager to understand project requirements and objectives.

• Conduct basic hand calculations to ensure design feasibility and integrity.

• Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and welding processes to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.

• Select and integrate standard items effectively within designs.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, documents, and specifications per project needs.

• Demonstrate proficiency in fabrication and manufacturing processes to optimize design for production.

• Coordinate and review engineering schedules with team members to meet project deadlines.

• Possess strong communication skills to actively contribute as a team member and present ideas effectively.

• Exhibit problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize design solutions.

• Experience with Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) design, sheet metal, and heavy machinery is beneficial.

• Familiarity with designing jigs and fixtures is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Proven experience in designing trailers, semitrailers, or tippers, preferably with exposure to New Product Development (NPD).

• Proficiency in Solid Works/Solid Works PDM software.

• Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of GD&T and welding processes.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to perform basic hand calculations.

• Strong problem-solving and presentation abilities.Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture and development.
