- Utilize expertise in SolidWorks PDM to manage and organize CAD files, drawings, and related product data in a centralized repository.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks FEA to analyze mechanical components and systems' structural integrity and performance.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the Trailers/Semitrailers/Tipper domain and New Product Development (NPD) processes to support project requirements.
- Leverage exposure to fabrication and manufacturing processes to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis of structural members to evaluate design stability, vibration, and fatigue.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to collaborate on design reviews, requirements analysis, and problem-solving.
- Conduct basic hand calculations to verify FEA results and validate design assumptions.
- Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and welding processes to ensure design accuracy and integrity.
- Implement welding optimization processes to improve efficiency
- and quality in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with project managers to determine project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Deliver strong presentations to communicate analysis results, design recommendations, and project updates.
- Solve engineering problems proactively and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and review engineering schedules with team members to ensure project milestones are met effectively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks PDM and SolidWorks FEA is required.
- Basic knowledge of Ansys for stress analysis is preferred.
- Experience in the Trailers/Semitrailers/Tipper domain and NPD processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with static and dynamic analysis of structural members.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in GD&T, welding processes, and welding optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate and review engineering schedules effectively.
